Performance Rifle

This course is great for anyone wanting to get faster and more accurate in any practical shooting context. This course features a heavy emphasis on the mechanics of shooting, and does not involve competition stage work like our Level-Up Course
Primary Areas of Instruction Include
•Fundamentals deep dive, emphasis on grip, trigger control and vision.
•The formulas of speed and accuracy on targets of varying difficulty including differing aiming schemes and trigger control technique. (This culminates in the Billy Drill Standards with a chance for the Speed Up & Get Your Hits patch).
•Gun Handling
•Target Transitions
•Efficient movement between and through shooting positions.
•Shooting on the Move
Basic Gear List:
– Suitable Rifle or Pistol Caliber Carbine
– Red dot or LVPO welcome. (Magnification will be unnecessary for the course).
– Enough magazines to carry at least 60 rounds on your person.
– 750 Rounds Minimum
– Athletic footwear with an aggressive tread is recommended.
About SERD
Welcome to Southeast Range Day, the premier 3-day training event in the Southeast. Our goal is to both make you a more proficient shooter, and allow you to connect with like-minded individuals. Featuring one of the best cadre of trainers ever assembled in the South, we are an event for shooters, put on by shooters.
The 3-day event will take place June 5 – 7, 2026 at the South River Gun Club in Covington, GA. Full cadre on instructors are listed below. The cost of the event is just $650, which includes two catered meals, an event t-shirt, and some other goodies!
